The “Meeting of Senior Officers of SIEM SHIPPING GROUP” was held at the Marriott hotel in Gdynia On April 25-26, 2023.
SIEM Ship Management tries to conduct this type of educational and cognitive meeting regularly twice a year. This is a special moment for both management and crews, which creates the opportunity to share our common knowledge and experience.
Nothing can replace direct exchange of information when we are no longer anonymous, known only by our functions or name. Direct contact between co-workers is a very important element for our two-way cooperation for which SIEM Ship Management places very special emphasis.
This “meeting” was devoted to a wide range of topics relating to issues affecting “people of the sea”, with particular pressure on matters related to safety and environmental protection.
The conference was attended by many invited guests representing a number of organizations directly and indirectly related to shipping and everything related to it.
The guests included representatives of our offices in London and Gdynia, as well as representatives of: SKULD P&I Club, T&T Salvage, Port State Control (PSC), Net Marine and others.
The SIEM Group was represented by a group of 85 invited guests, both office workers and officers of our ships, and an additional opportunity to participate was provided by an online broadcast to another 50 representatives of our crews.
The variety of topics, interesting and valuable presentations combined with the form of practical workshops for participants – as usual in our conferences, had a unique value that undoubtedly affects our common safety on the seas around the world, as well as the general safety of our planet.
