Safe ship operation – Port State Controls
In all port states, ships may be inspected to ensure compliance with international occupational health and safety standards under the so-called Port State Control (PSC).
As part of these inspections, inspectors are obliged to inspect the technical condition of the ship, her equipment, and documentation of both: the ship and the crew on board.
.
Observed discrepancies may even lead to the vessel being detained in port, which may have a very negative impact on the reputation of each shipping company.
In 2023, during approximately 50 PSC inspections of our ships, we achieved an excellent deficiency rate result – “PSC Deficiencies Index”. It amounted to 0.67%. This result is much lower than the average set by the “Worldwide PSC Deficiency Ratio” which is 2.90%.
This proves the success of our Safety Management System.
