SIEM Ship Management took over another Car Carrier.
The vessel was taken over on 20 January in Japanese port Nagoya from FML. At the takeover the vessel was reflagged from Panama to Singapore, renamed from “Suzuka Express” to “SIEM Copernicus” and the class was changed from LR to BV.
In order to ensure proper familiarization the captain and the chief engineer joined the vessel one month prior to the takeover. Remaining crew joined on the 20th am and after successful takeover the vessel commenced cargo operation on the same day in the afternoon. She left Japan on the following day and sailed towards her next port Hong Kong.
